We’re still digesting Star Wars: The Force Awakens, even as we rush ahead with last-minute Christmas preparations. But in this hectic time, let’s not forget to take some time and appreciate one film that’s celebrating a landmark anniversary. That would be Kindergarten Cop, which turns 25. Don’t bother checking your calendar, because it’s not April Fools’ Day. But even knowing that, if someone told me that there was a Kindergarten Cop 2 on the way starring Dolph Lundgren, I simply wouldn’t believe them, because it sounds so ridiculous.

Plus, there are actually some set photos to back up news that The Expendables franchise, Masters of the Universe and Rocky IV star is currently shooting a sequel to Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s comedic action thriller from 1990. I’m just going to assume that you didn’t download the leak of The Expendables 3, and that if you’re waiting to see the film you can hang on for two more weeks. Here’s one final Expendables 3 trailer to make the wait easier, and this clip has plenty of action from Patrick Hughes’ sequel. Sylvester Stallone returns as the leader of a paramilitary gang, and this time the crew stares down a one-time comrade turned arms dealer played by Mel Gibson. It’s all action, and the roster of stars old and new is so huge that the returning cast members barely fit in the trailer. Read More »

It’s a slow news day, and this caught my eye during lunch. I saw Dolph Lundgren, star of Universal Soldier, Rocky IV and The Expendables, as the host of a game show. But not just any game show. This game show recreates famous movie scenes so that fans can experience them, and compete for prizes while doing so. Many of the scenes are recreated in the same places famous filmmakers like Robert Zemeckis, James Cameron, Quentin Tarantino and Steven Spielberg originally used to create them. The show is called Race To the Scene and it premieres tonight. How the heck am I just hearing about this?
Now I have not yet seen the show, but the combination of Lundgren and movie scenes got me instantly intrigued and my DVR has been set. The show premieres tonight, June 6, at 9 p.m. EST on the Reelz Channel. Check out the trailer below. Read More »
