Webb Cuaron Wright

And so it begins. The schedule for Wednesday night and Thursday at San Diego Comic Con 2013 has been revealed kicking off four days of scheduling madness. There are several early highlights on what’s traditionally the second slowest day of the Con, but one standout is a Hall H conversation between Alfonso Cuaron, Marc Webb and Edgar Wright. Webb and Wright’s movies (The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and The World’s End) are already confirmed for the convention, but this all but solidifies Gravity will be there too.

On the movie side of things there’s also Europa Report, Ender’s Game, Divergent and Terry Gilliam’s Zero Theorum. On the TV side, there’s Dexter, The X-Files and Sherlock. And that’s only a small sampling. Below, check out the full schedule as well as some highlights. Read More »

‘Dexter’ TV Trailer: The Beginning of the End

Dexter

Early in the first full-length trailer for Dexter Season 8, our favorite serial killer (Michael C. Hall) notes with pleasure that the events of the Season 7 finale solved all of his problems. But as the rest of the promo shows, he’s won’t be sitting pretty for long.

In fact, with Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) spiraling downward and a formidable new foe coming up on the horizon, he may be in hotter water than ever before. And this being the final season, there’s no guarantee he’ll make it out alive this time. Check out the trailer plus a new poster after the jump.

Dexter Season 8 header

Savor the next twelve episodes of Dexter, because they’ll be the last. The network announced earlier this week that the serial killer drama would end its run after the eighth season, which begins in June. To prepare fans for the big goodbye, they’ve revealed a new poster and trailer hinting at events to come.

However, the end of Dexter may not mean the end of the Dexter universe. In an interview, Showtime entertainment president David Nevins revealed that there has been some spinoff talk, though nothing’s set in stone yet. Hit the jump to keep reading.

Dexter

It’s been all but confirmed for a while now that Dexter‘s upcoming eighth season would be its last, but now the end is actually, officially, 100% confirmed. Showtime announced today that the serial killer drama would come to a close after the new season, which kicks off this summer.

Just how the Bay Harbor Butcher’s story ends remains to be seen, but the network offered a small taste of the final chapter in a new sneak peek video. Check it out after the jump.
