Cheap Thrills is one of my favorite movies of 2013. It’s a genre fan’s paradise: one messed-up idea, explored to the limit of its potential, with some supremely squirm-inducing moments. It is also a damn good movie, period — a killer directorial debut from E.L. Katz, with good performances all around, and work from Pat Healy and David Koechner that you won’t forget. If you’ve ever sensed that Koechner has a weird mean streak running through his comedy, this is the movie for you, because he taps into that and turns it into a river that propels this movie along.
Healy and Ethan Embry play a couple of guys, both facing hard times, who reconnect at a bar. Then a couple at the bar, played by Koechner and Sara Paxton (who co-starred with Healy in The Innkeepers) offers them a potential economic windfall. All the guys have to do to win some big bucks is follow through on the dares proposed by the couple. And then things get weird.

Two brand new trailers, full of new footage, characters and hilarious jokes have just been released for Adam McKay‘s highly anticipated sequel, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. The domestic trailer is funny – more Ron, more Champ, more Brick, more Brian, more absolute insanity in the world of 24 hour news, but the international trailer is brilliant, giving a much better sense of what the story is.
The films opens Christmas Day. Check out the two new trailers below.

You probably already know this, but Ron Burgundy is kind of a big deal. If he wasn’t, would he be able to pull off a long leather overcoat with puffy fur collar?
San Diego’s most famous news anchor returns December 20 with Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. The full cast of the 2004 original are back as Ron (Will Ferrell), Brick (Steve Carell), Champ (David Koechner) and Brian (Paul Rudd) are forced into the world of 24-hour news during the 1980s.
Check out two new photos from the film below. Read More »
Cheap Thrills is a great movie not just for the fact that it is freaky and unsettling in a very realistic way, but because it will make you look at the film’s four major actors in a new light. Ethan Embry and Pat Healy play two guys who need cash, and David Koechner and Sara Paxton play a rich couple with money to burn.
The four people collide at a bar, and the rich couple is soon paying their two new “friends” to engage in a bit of anti-social behavior. It begins in a relatively innocent manner, but things quickly get crazy. Really, crazy, and very bloody. This first international trailer will give you a creepy, messy idea of what the movie has in store, without giving too much away. Watch it below.

When the first Anchorman hit theaters, we were smack in the middle of the ’00s. Lost and Veronica Mars had yet to hit the airwaves. The Janet Jackson Super Bowl controversy was still kind of a thing. John Kerry looked like a viable option for the presidency. It was a crazy time.
But times have changed for us since then, and so, too, have they for the Channel 4 news team. Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues sees Ron (Will Ferrell), Brian (Paul Rudd), Champ (David Koechner) and Brick (Steve Carell) running headfirst into the ’80s and facing the new challenges that come it. Among those are diversity in the workplace (as represented by Meagan Good) and the 24-hour news cycle (as represented by Dylan Baker). Watch the first trailer after the jump.

Director Adam McKay promised “a murderers’ row of day players” for Anchorman: The Legend Continues, and based on the casting so far it definitely looks like he’s gonna deliver. But the faces we’re really excited to see are those of the core Channel 4 news team, and the new trailer offers a peek at just that.
There’s no new footage to be found here, but there are enough laughs to whet your appetite for comedy. Against a flashy backdrop just like the one from the last trailer, Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd), Champ Kind (David Koechner), and Brick Tamland (Steve Carell) step up to say hello. And stay classy. And, uh, happy Easter. Check it out after the jump.

With Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, David Koechner, and Christina Applegate in the lead roles, plus a slew of their famous friends in supporting and cameo parts, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy certainly had no shortage of big comic talents. But in typical sequel fashion, Anchorman: The Legend Continues plans to go even bigger with a veritable “murderer’s row of day players,” according to co-writer/director Adam McKay. Now, he seems to be making good on that promise as Kristen Wiig becomes the cast’s first fresh face.
