Ant-Man wouldn’t be a Marvel movie if it didn’t contain a bunch of fun easter eggs and references to comic book creators, storylines and side characters. We’ve chronicled many of the references and hidden details in previous Marvel movies (like this in-depth dissection of Guardians of the Galaxy’s many easter eggs), and now its time to take a look at Peyton Reed‘s Ant-Man. After the jump you will find over 20 easter eggs for the latest Marvel superhero movie starring Paul Rudd.

On October 9 2014 I visited my first Marvel set. The film was Ant-Man, Marvel Studios’ latest gamble and the final film in Phase Two of the company’s influential and uber-successful Marvel Cinematic Universe. I mention it was my first Marvel set visit because, like me, Ant-Man represents many firsts for Marvel. It’s the first time they’ve hired a director, Peyton Reed, just weeks before shooting. It’s the first time their central hero, Scott Lang (played by Paul Rudd), has a family. It’s the first time we’ll see a man shrink down to ride on ant. Those are just the tip of the iceberg.
Below, read 65 things we learned over two days — days 37 and 38 of the 74-day shoot — on the Atlanta set of Ant-Man. There’s also info from a day spent at ILM on June 15, 2015. Read More »
“If nobody sees it,” Whitey Bulger tells his six-year old son in this new Black Mass trailer, “it didn’t happen.” But much of what we’ll see in this movie did happen, as Bulger, played here by Johnny Depp, was among the most notorious gangsters in Boston’s history — hell, in US history. There are a lot of things that Marvel Studios does really, really well. Innovative poster design, however, is not one of them. The new Ant-Man poster isn’t terrible, exactly, just very very boring. It’s so boring, even the people on it look bored. If you’ve seen all the other Marvel posters, you’ll already know just what to expect. Check it out after the jump. Read More »
This full trailer for the new season of The Strain is full of big makeup and effects shots, and a promise that the show’s concept of Manhattan overrun by vampires will really boil over into insanity this year. And that’s half of what we want to see from the show; the other half is something that’s harder to get across in a one-minute trailer, and that’s further character development. But we’ll take the thrill of the effects for now. Check out The Strain S2 trailer below. Read More »
