The Ron Howard project we’ve covered most extensively in this space is probably the fourth season of Arrested Development, but we’re also pretty pumped for his other big release of 2013, the Formula One racing drama Rush.
Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Brühl play James Hunt and Niki Lauda, two real-life racing rivals that spent the ’70s neck-in-neck with one another. Their intense competition only intensified in 1976 after the latter suffered a horrific crash that put him in a coma, only to return to the track weeks later. Watch the first trailer after the jump.

Last week we dropped the red-band trailer for I Melt With You, Mark Pellington‘s incredibly divisive thriller about four longtime pals (Rob Lowe, Tom Jane, Jeremy Piven, and Christian McKay) who get together once a year for debauched, drug-fueled gatherings. Underlying the merriment, however, is a deeply disturbing secret that could change all of their lives.

I Melt With You stars Thomas Jane, Jeremy Piven, Rob Lowe and Christian McKay as four best friends who meet up for a reunion to drink, do drugs and take a vacation from their daily lives. Carla Gugino and Sasha Grey are featured, it has opening credits akin to Gaspar Noe’s Enter the Void, an incredible (but possibly temporary) punk rock soundtrack and an awesome beach house setting. Sounds great, right? Unfortunately, as directed by Mark Pellington, I Melt With You is a over-indulgent, bloated, valueless film that’s among the worst I’ve seen so far at the Sundance Film Festival.
