Hoyte Van Hoytema Bond 24

Normally we’d have a large measure of sympathy for anyone who had to take over a job following Roger Deakins. And since Deakins isn’t shooting the new Bond film, someone has to step into his shoes. But the person to take over the job shooting Bond 24 is Hoyte van Hoytema, who did such a tremendous job with Her, and then shot Interstellar for Christopher Nolan. So things are probably going to work out just fine. There’s another good detail in the Hoyte Van Hoytema Bond 24 news, which you can find below. Read More »

Bond 24 Purvis Wade

Bond 24 will bring Daniel Craig and Sam Mendes back into the world of globe-trotting espionage, but the screenwriting credit may not be what we were expecting it to be. While John Logan also made the leap back into Bond after Skyfall, the script turned in may be getting more of a work-over than previously suggested. Rewrites on big movies happen all the time, and weeks ago it was reported that Neil Purvis and Robert Wade, who have worked on many Bond films in the last fifteen years, were doing a “last-minute rewrite” on Logan’s Bond 24 script.

Now the report is that rewrite is more like a total overhaul. Or, as one report puts it, a “rescue.” Read More »

Bond 24 writers

The trio that wrote Skyfall will be reuniting for its sequel after all. As of 2012, John Logan was set to pen the script all by himself, without the help of Neal Purvis and John Wade. But now, following some “polite turmoil” behind the scenes of Bond 24, Purvis and Wade are returning to give the script some “punch.”

Of course, they’re going to need some time to polish that script and that means production won’t begin this fall as originally planned. Instead, it’ll get underway in December. Hit the jump for all the latest details on the Bond 24.
