Director Duncan Jones has been coming to Comic Con with Warcraft for three years now. With the movie finally set to arrive in theaters just under a year from now, Comic-Con finally got a first look at some official footage from the video game adaptation, and it’s definitely something to talk about.
The footage on display has simultaneously some of the most beautiful visual effects footage I’ve ever seen, along with some of the most niche, heavy-fantasy, somewhat confusing story elements in recent memory. As someone who hasn’t ever dove into the world of Warcraft, I’ll do my best to break down what we saw in Hall H.

In the wake of the Lance Armstrong doping scandal, multiple parties were racing to adapt the story for the big screen. As of now, the winner is Stephen Frears with The Program. The first international trailer has hit today, nearly two years after we got our first look.
Ben Foster leads as the disgraced cyclist, and Chris O’Dowd is the journalist who begins to suspect Armstrong of cheating. Jesse Plemons, Lee Pace, and Dustin Hoffman also star. Watch the Lance Armstrong biopic trailer after the jump.

Director Ron Howard is about to lock in the perfect actor to play the villain in Inferno, the latest film based on the works of Da Vinci Code author Dan Brown. Despite the fact that Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code) has already wrapped the primary shoot for Warcraft, we know almost nothing about the film. Clearly, the film is set in the world of Azeroth, introduced in the video game Warcraft and greatly expanded in other titles including World of Warcraft. And we know most of the members of the cast: Ben Foster, Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Toby Kebbell, Rob Kazinsky, Dominic Cooper, Daniel Wu and Clancy Brown are all in the film. We haven’t known anything about their characters, however, until now. Ben Foster has just given up some big info, including the name of his character — and it’s someone that will be familiar to fans of the games. Read More »

Here’s the second full trailer for the true war story Lone Survivor, which is based on the book by Navy SEAL Marcus Littrell, who was part of a small group of SEALs that found itself ambushed by the Taliban in Afghanistan. Peter Berg directs stars Mark Wahlberg, Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch, Ben Foster & Eric Bana. Check it out below. Read More »
Peter Berg‘s new film, Lone Survivor, is heading towards theaters with a bit more subdued promotional push than is typical for the director’s last few films. But the first trailer was compelling, as it shows men in the Navy SEAL team who targeted an al Qaeda subject in Afghanistan, and was overwhelmed by an unexpected Taliban force.
Mark Wahlberg, Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch, Ben Foster, Ali Suliman, Alexander Ludwig, and Eric Bana all feature in the film, and you’ll see them in some new footage in this featurette. There’s also some explanation from Berg about the mission on which the film is based. In fact, the source for the movie is the book Lone Survivor by Marcus Luttrell, who was (as the title suggests) the one survivor of the operation. He speaks up here, too, hoping that this feature will get his story out to a bigger audience than ever. Read More »
