Between Us Trailer

Romance is a staple of cinema. But while movies about love have often painted a portrait of happily ever after, some filmmakers have decided to deliver more realistic portrayals of romance — the good and the bad, the whimsical and the disappointing. Between Us is another one of those films.

The indie romance from Mexican director Rafael Palacio Illingworth focuses on Ben Feldman (Superstore) and Olivia Thirlby (Juno), a couple that has been together for six years and feels the pressure of settling down so much that they decide, perhaps too fleetingly, to tie the knot. They soon find that the “forever” part of their marriage vows is more of a struggle than they anticipated.

As Above So Below extended

What if the catacombs segment in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was the setup for a horror movie, rather than an adventure film set piece? Ben Feldman (Mad Men), Perdita Weeks (The Great Fire), and Edwin Hodge (The Purge: Anarchy) star in As Above So Below as a crew of budding urban archaeologists who seek a hidden truth in the catacombs beneath Paris.

They find something else: shadows of their past incarnated in visions that have the power to do more than just spook each kid. This As Above So Below extended red-band trailer features blood, fore, and plenty of weirdness as the crew finds what might be the gate to their own personal hell. As Above So Below trailer

Brothers John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle (Quarantine, Devil) have a new horror/thriller coming out, called As Above, So Below. The film follows a set of young explorers — or treasure hunters, really — who attempt to find a cache of riches under the streets of Paris. To get there, they go through the catacombs, that web of tunnels that act as ossuaries for about six million people and connect to old stone mines. As you might guess, things don’t go so well for the kids down there. Check out the first As Above So Below trailer, er, below, along with a great poster.  Read More »
