For the past several years now, Warner Bros. and everyone involved have gone back and forth on Beetlejuice 2. The studio got the ball rolling in 2011 when they hired Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg to write, and since then, Tim BurtonWinona Ryder, and Michael Keaton have all weighed in every so often with varying degrees of optimism about the movie actually happening. Beetlejuice

We’ve been hearing bits and pieces of news regarding Beetlejuice 2 for a few years now. Back in 2012, director Tim Burton was waiting to see how Seth Grahame-Smith (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) and David Katzenberg‘s script turned out, saying he’d keep an “open mind” about directing the sequel. The director’s interest in the project has significantly risen over the years, but he still has some understandable reservations about making the film.

Annabeth Gish has joined the cast of the X-Files event series to reprise her role from the original series run. Fox announced that Gish will return as FBI Agent Monica Reyes, appearing alongside Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully and David Duchovny as Fox Mulder. The new six-episode series premieres on Sunday, January 24, and we may have to wait that long to see how Gish factors in.

Beetlejuice 2 news

Tim Burton‘s latest film, Big Eyes, is now in theaters. His next film, Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children, is getting ready to shoot, aimed at a March 4, 2016 release. Once he’s done with that, the prolific filmmaker has a ton of options to choose from (as always).
