The Lego Movie - Batman

With Batman vs. Superman now set to open May 6, 2016 instead of July 17, 2015, it’ll be some time before we get to see Ben Affleck in his new batsuit. ‘Batman vs. Superman’ Delayed to 2016

Batman Superman

The summer of 2015 just got a tiny bit less crowded. Variety reports that Warner Bros. has just pushed the Man of Steel sequel from July 17, 2015 to May 6, 2016. The new date pits the Zack Snyder-helmed film directly against an as-yet-unnamed Marvel Studios project, though in all likelihood one or the other will move before then.

Joe Wright‘s Peter Pan origin tale will now move into the July 17, 2015 slot, having previously been slotted for June 26, 2015. More, including the official press release from Warner Bros., after the jump.

Alex Pardeen - Batman vs Superman

A new rumor is circulating that could explain the number of superheroes potentially showing up in Batman vs. Superman. We know for sure Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman will be in the Zack Snyder sequel, set for release July 17, 2015. We’ve also heard wild rumors of other superheroes, such as Green Lantern, Flash and Aquaman, possibly popping up in the film. Whether those rumors are true or not, the addition of Wonder Woman alone has fans worried Snyder’s film will bite off more than it can chew.

Well the new rumor is Batman vs. Superman will end on a huge tease for a Justice League movie, which will shoot immediately after. Read about that, and a few other rumors, below. Read More »

Jason Momoa

Briefly: If Jason Momoa has indeed been cast in Zack Snyder‘s Batman vs. Superman, as he was rumored to have been last month, he isn’t letting on. “It’s just rumors,” the Game of Thrones alum said when asked about the project. “I want to say something amazing, but I can’t comment on rumors. It’s flattering.” Lest his comments leave any lingering doubts, he added, bluntly, “I’m not involved in it.”

However, he does have some guesses as to where the talk began. “Maybe someone said, ‘You should be in this!’ and I said, ‘Yeah that would be great!’” he speculated. “And it just went too far.”

Of course, that’s exactly what he would say if he was in the movie — actors lie their faces off all the time when it comes to high-profile projects like this one. Then again, that’s also exactly what he would say if it was really a silly rumor with absolutely no basis in truth. Basically, we live in an uncertain world and the only sure thing is death and taxes and the fact that Batman vs. Superman is coming out July 17, 2017. [IGN]
