The dream of any young filmmaker who puts a short film online is that it’ll get noticed by Hollywood, leading to being whisked away to a life of big budgets, movie stars and sunshine. That dream exists because, on occasion, it happens. Adam Sandler‘s company Happy Madison, along with Columbia Pictures, has just acquired the rights to make a feature length version of the Internet short, Bad Toys II. Directed by French animators Daniel Brunet and Nicolas Douste, the short blends animation and live action toys into a high-octane short inspired by the insane, over the top car chases in Michael Bay movies like Bad Boys II.
