Todd Phillips‘ next project, Arms and Dudes, opens in theaters next summer. Phillips hasn’t directed a non-Hangover film since 2010’s Due Date, and he’s taking on slightly different material with this Jonah Hill and Miles Teller-headlined picture.

Todd Phillips is working on his first film since The Hangover III, and it stars Jonah Hill and Miles Teller as a pair of American guys who exploit a legal loophole to get rich via military contracts. Things naturally get out of hand, and Arms and the Dudes follows the two as they land a deal to provide arms to the Afghan military — something they’re woefully unprepared to handle. Starting with The Hangover, Todd Phillips has turned into a new cash cow for Warner Bros., with the two Hangover movies and Road Trip cumulatively earning more than a billion dollars worldwide. (The Hangover films are responsible for the bulk of that gross.) Not bad for a guy who makes absurd comedies.
Now WB has renewed its first-look deal with Phillips and his company Green Hat Films. And while they work on The Hangover Part III and prepare for the release of the Phillips-produced Project X, there are four other films that are possible directorial follow-ups for Phillips.
