Concept art of Captain Marvel shown at San Diego Comic Con proved that the finished film was still a long ways away. While fans on the internet had to make do with grainy snaps of concept art shown by Marvel Studios at the convention, it seemed that we would have to wait a few more years before we could get a real peek at Brie Larson as Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel.

But artist Andy Park has posted a less-grainy concept picture of Larson in costume as Danvers, this time where we can see the full length of the costume when it’s not concealed by attacking Skrulls.

Jurassic World The Avengers Box Office

So you’ve probably heard by now, Jurassic World beat The Avengers U.S. box office opening record. Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic Park sequel grossed $208,806,270 in the opening weekend, just enough to overtake Joss Whedon’s The Avengers‘ $207.4 million record from 2012. Marvel Studios has published an image online to congratulate the “new box office king.” Check it out, after the jump.

Unused Gamora and Nebula Character Designs

Earlier this month, we showed you some Guardians of the Galaxy concept art which revealed Star-Lord’s comic book origins, as well as very different looking concept designs for Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Gamora, Drax and Star-Lord. Now concept artist Andy Park shares his early designs for Zoe Saldana‘s Gamora and Karen Gillan‘s Nebula from James Gunn‘s Guardians of the Galaxy, which look very different than what we saw in the final film.
