Man vs Snake Trailer

The documentary The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters from 2007 is one of the most entertaining documentaries I’ve ever seen. The film from director Seth Gordon (who has gone on to direct films like Horrible Bosses) followed two grown men competing for a new world record for the highest score on the Donkey Kong arcade game. Now another arcade rivalry will come to life in a new documentary called Man vs Snake: The Long and Twisted Tale of Nibbler.

As the Man vs Snake trailer below illustrates, the film sets the stage by introducing us to Tim McVey, the man who set a world record in 1984 by becoming the first person to score over a billion points on a single video game. That game was Nibbler, which may be better known as “Snake” to today’s crowd. But now one man has stepped up to challenge Tim’s score, and he just might have the goods to back it up. Read More »
