Director Adam McKay promised “a murderers’ row of day players” for Anchorman: The Legend Continues, and based on the casting so far it definitely looks like he’s gonna deliver. But the faces we’re really excited to see are those of the core Channel 4 news team, and the new trailer offers a peek at just that.
There’s no new footage to be found here, but there are enough laughs to whet your appetite for comedy. Against a flashy backdrop just like the one from the last trailer, Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd), Champ Kind (David Koechner), and Brick Tamland (Steve Carell) step up to say hello. Anchorman: The Legend Continues has an extensive lineup of celebrity cameos that ranges from the fairly obvious (John C. Reilly) to the nearly out of left field (Harrison Ford). But it’s not done adding people yet.
A new report indicates that a very high-profile A-lister has agreed to lend her talents to the film. Her role hasn’t been revealed at this time, but let’s hope she has a less strange experience than Ford did with, as he puts it, “What’s-His-Name and the applesauce girl.” After the jump, find out who the latest Anchorman cast member is and read more of Ford’s comments about the shoot.

Last year when Anchorman director Adam McKay was talking about the plot of Anchorman 2 (or Anchorman: The Legend Continues) he mentioned a few details, such as the fact that the film will be set in an evolving media landscape, with the ’80s influence of always-on cable news felt on the Action News Team.
