The only thing weirder than the big mansion in the middle of downtown Albuquerque is the post-apocalyptic party going on inside. It’s December 16, 2014, and the Gertrude and Zachary Mansion at 2nd and Lead has been transformed to a very important location in The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, Wes Ball’s follow-up to the 2014 hit The Maze Runner.
From top to bottom, the interior of the mansion has been transformed to the spot where Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) is separated from his fellow Gladers on their epic quest across the scorched Earth they discovered at the end of the last film. Here he’ll be drugged, endure (or enjoy) hallucinations, kiss a girl, and eventually be reunited with the group before meeting some incredibly important new characters.
On this day, number 36 of 55 shooting days, the temperature on The Scorch Trials set is near-freezing even as the location doubles for a super-hot environment in the film. Despite that, the camaraderie of all the cast members is particularly noticeable. Each seems incredibly excited to be continuing the story of James Dashner’s novels, and especially to be doing it together.
Below, read our full Maze Runner: Scorch Trials set visit report. Read More »
When Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion go to a convention, they’re basically Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. Which is to say, they’re extremely famous and well-known, especially in that setting. They’re now using their experience with cons to transform the odd world of conventions into a web series. It’s called Con Man and will be written, directed and star Tudyk with Fillion co-starring as well as producing. Already they have their Firefly cast members Sean Maher and Gina Torres along for the ride as well as James Gunn, Seth Green, Felicia Day and Amy Acker, just to start.
Below, watch Tudyk’s pitch video for Con Man (Yes, it’s being crowd sourced) and read more about it. Read More »

/Film is proud to exclusively debut the red-band trailer for Premature. Co-written and directed by Dan Beers, Premature opens in theaters and On Demand on July 2.
In the mold of another big summer film, Premature takes the time travel conceit made popular by Groundhog Day and grafts it onto another genre. Edge of Tomorrow did the same sort of thing with sci-fi action; here, Beers does it with raunchy teen comedy.
Imagine reliving the worst, most embarrassing day of your life and over and over again. That day that includes the lead having an opportunity with the girl of his dreams, only to, well, provide the title of the movie. Premature stars John Karna (Bindlestiffs), Craig Roberts (Submarine, The First Time), Katie Findlay (The Philosophers, “The Killing”) and Alan Tudyk (Dodgeball, Wreck It Ralph). Below, check out the hilarious Premature red-band trailer, exclusively on /Film. Read More »
