Adventure Time Ending

If you’ve been fond of grabbing your friends and going to distant lands with Jake the dog and Finn the human over the past six years, we have some bad but inevitable news. Cartoon Network has announced that Adventure Time will be ending after the ninth season of the animated series concludes in 2018. Read More »

The Simpsons Adventure Time Couch Gag

In recent years, The Simpsons has been executing some very elaborate and outstanding sequences for their traditional couch gag for the opening credits. Earlier this year The Simpsons got a Disney style makeover by Aladdin animator Eric Goldberg and last year featured references to Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty and even another opening done by Ren & Stimpy creator John Kricfalusi.

Now The Simpsons is getting the Adventure Time treatment, and going through Springfield in the same style of the opening credits of the popular Cartoon Network animated series that kids and adults alike rather enjoy. It’s an impressive sequence, and it’s actually twice as long as the usual Adventure Time opening credits. See which Adventure Time characters The Simpsons become and see if you can spot all the Easter eggs, including a monorail reference, in the full couch gag after the jump. Read More »

LEGO Dimensions Expansions Trailer

While Disney recently shut down their toy-based video game franchise Disney Infinity, it appears Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is doubling down on their efforts with a ton of new expansions packs for LEGO Dimensions. They may not have Disney properties from Marvel and Lucasfilm at their disposal, but they do have no less than 16 new film, television and video game franchises coming to LEGO Dimensions over the next year.

Ahead of next week’s E3 expo, a new LEGO Dimensions trailer shows off all of the new properties coming to the building block video game world, and they’re pretty fantastic. Some of them include Harry Potter, Mission: Impossible, Adventure Time, Gremlins and more. Get the whole list of new packs coming after the jump, and watch the new LEGO Dimensions expansions trailer below. Read More »

Adventure Time LEGO

We’re champions of plenty of projects that pop up over at the LEGO Ideas website. For those who don’t know, it’s a community of LEGO builders who create custom sets that they hope will be supported by community and eventually make it in front of the official LEGO board for approval to become a legitimate set sold in stores. A set needs 10,000 votes to make it in front of the board, but that’s no guarantee of production since the company still has to determine whether they can get the rights to make the set and if there’s even a viable market for it to be sold in.

Thankfully, it has been determined that an Adventure Time LEGO set is a good idea, and it will be put into production. That’s pretty mathematical. Check out the set below! Read More »

Mad Max Adventure Time mash-up

In just over a couple weeks, fans of Mad Max: Fury Road will be able to pick up their own copy of George Miller‘s magnificent action bonanza on Blu-Ray and DVD on September 1st (or you can get it right now on digital download). But for those who aren’t so patient, maybe a new trailer mash-up with the post-apocalyptic sequel will hold you over.

YouTube user Egor Zhgun decided to take characters from the hit show Adventure Time and create a short little animated trailer as if they were the characters in Mad Max: Fury Road. It’s a little bit trippy, not unlike the real movie, or for that matter the TV show, with Finn as Max and Jake as one of the vehicles on the chase, but it’s a fun little creation. Read More »

Adventure Time movie

An Adventure Time movie has been brewing slowly at Warner Bros. for several months, and while there is no director or writer announcement just yet, some of the team working on the film has been revealed. The film will be animated — no live-action translation to worry about, which is for the best — and will be shepherded by Chris McKay, who worked on Robot Chicken and The Lego Movie and is directing Lego Batman, and producer Roy Lee. Tim Doyle - Lost

For two years, Austin based artist Tim Doyle has been proving locations on television are as essential as the characters. The Kwik-E-Mart on The Simpsons; the RV in Breaking Bad; Castle Greyskull in Masters of the Universe; these locations are as important to their show as Homer, Walt or He-Man. Now, for the third year in a row, Doyle emphasizes that point with the art show UnReal Estate III, which opens Thursday February 6 at Spoke Art in San Francisco. The artist has once again made iconic locations from popular shows into beautiful art.

In the past, Doyle’s tackled The Sopranos, Sesame Street, Downton Abbey, Doctor Who and so many others. This year, we’re proud to exclusively debut Doyle’s takes on Game of Thrones, Pee Wee’s Playhouse, Lost, Adventure Time, Six Feet Under and The Munsters. Which is only a fraction of the show. Check it out below. Read More »

Batman Family Car Detail

One of the best movie-related April Fools gags I can remember was from a few years ago: ThinkGeek’s Star Wars Tauntaun Sleeping Bag. It was a gross, hilarious idea that got so much attention, Lucasfilm actually allowed the company to make and sell the product.

This year, ThinkGeek is back with another batch of inspired movie related items that you’ll either really want because they’re so clever, or laugh at because they’re so mean. Items such as the Batman Family Car Decal above. Check out more below. Read More »
