Star is reporting that Shia LaBeouf called Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen producers yesterday, to inform them that he may need to amputate one of his injured fingers. Shia injured his hand in a West Hollywood car accident on July 27th. I’m hearing that LaBeouf’s injury has caused a lot of havoc on the production. I can only imagine if doctors do decide to amputate Shia’s pinky finger, it would probably be impossible to shoot and edit around. Last week Bay was telling reporters that they were trying to figure a way to work it into the story: “His two fingers are pretty mashed,” Bay told Access Hollywood. “But we’re [...]

Today during our visit to Dreamworks, we got the chance to talk to Eagle Eye director D.J. Caruso with a group of select online journalists. During the discussion, the big screen adaptation of Brian K Vaughn’s Y: The Last Man came up, and Caruso dropped some potentially exciting news:“What happened is New Line is now part of Warner Bros, and Warner Bros is now really high on the project. And Carl Ellsworth will probably be handing in a script to Warner Bros/New Line [real soon].”Caruso says that in a perfect world, the film will hit theaters in Summer 2010.“I was talking to Shia [LaBeouf] about this yesterday when we were [...]

I have nothing against Shia, but I know that a lot of moviegoers do. Heck, he did swing on vines with monkeys in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. For the haters, BustedTees brings you the Enough LaBeouf! T-Shirt. Available in sizes small to 3XL for only $18.99.

DreamWorks has released a new movie poster for Eagle Eye, too bad it’s not nearly as interesting as the two released movie trailers. I really have a feeling that this film will be a lot of fun. The new one sheet is somewhat reminiscent of the poster for Enemy of the State (seen also below), which is ironic since the trailer also shows shades of the Will Smith action thriller. It seems that Bourne Ultimatium has brought the black and white poster back in style. I’m still waiting for the day when the old school painted one-sheets (ala Drew Struzan) come back in fashion and the floating head style [...]

UPDATE: Check out this funnay footage shot on the set of Transformers 2. It shows a ‘bot that looks a lot like Frenzy ruining a windshield. At this point, Bay’s sequel needs a big can of spy spray.
Here’s the non-spoiler part of this post: Shia LaBeouf will ride a motorcycle in Transformers 2. Wow. And it might, just might!, be a robot in disguise. After the jump, we’ll dive into the latest sp-sp-spoiler rumors for Transformers 2 courtesy of the Movie Blog. These spoilers center on odd things happening to LaBeouf’s character in the film, rather than the oddity that is Beetlejuice. Against better judgment, we’ll rank the following spoilers [...]

Michael Bay revealed a couple new details in an interview with the New Jersey Times. The story picks up with Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox) visiting Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) at a fictional East Coast school with an Ivy League feel. Apparently Banes didn’t have enough money to go to college and was left behind in Los Angeles. And while the first movie was about a boy and his first car, Bay says that the new movie “is all about Sam growing up and going to college … a teenager growing into a man.” Rainn Wilson was spotted on set the same day that they were shooting a scene where Sam [...]

Paramount/DreamWorks just released a new theatrical trailer for Eagle Eye, which I’m guessing must be attached to prints of Wanted (which hits theaters this Friday). The new D.J. Caruso-directed fast-paced race-against-time-thriller which stars Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan as “two strangers who become the pawns of a mysterious woman they have never met, but who seems to know their every move. Realizing they are being used to further her diabolical plot, they must work together to outwit the woman before she has them killed.”
The trailer picks up where the teaser left off, and doesnt let up. Is it just me or is this film looking better and better? The action [...]

Eight new photos from DJ Caruso’s Eagle Eye have hit the net. Click on the images above and below to enlarge.

It has been a few days since our last Transformers 2 Update. On Wednesday, filming continued at Laurel Hill Cemetery, where both Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and that Chevy Beat concept car (not pictured) were spotted in alt mode. [tflive]

The crew has been busy shooting scenes at UPENN, which will double as Sam Witwicky’s (Shia LaBeouf) college. Kendall Whitehouse has more photos of them setting up on Flickr. Kevin Dunn, who plays Sam Witwicky’s father Ron was spotted by fadedsilverscreen with a visitor sticker on his chest. This is the first confirmation that he is featured in the sequel. Julie White who played Sam’s mother Judy Witwicky in the original film, [...]

I’m not sure if you’ve heard this yet, but Steven Spielberg had this idea which is the basis for Shia LaBeouf’s next film. NO, I’m not talking about Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (that was clearly George’s idea). I’m talking about Eagle Eye, the first original story Hollywood has seen from Spielberg since 1985’s The Goonies. And before you get too excited, no, Spielberg didn’t direct (he was way too busy with that little Harrison Ford film), Disturbia director DJ Caruso was again paired with Shia.
The teaser trailer comes off as a cross between The Matrix and Enemy of the State, although the official plot [...]

Rumors began in July 2007 that Shia LaBeouf signed a contract to reprise his role of Mutt Williams, in a series of Indiana Jones sequels. MTV quickly got a denial from LucasFilm, although it turns out that IESB.net’s source probably wasn’t far off after all. It has now been revealed that George Lucas has an idea to make more Indy films with Mutt as the lead character.
“I haven’t even told Steven or Harrison this,” Lucas told Fox News. “But I have an idea to make Shia [LeBeouf] the lead character next time and have Harrison [Ford] come back like Sean Connery did in the last movie. I can see it [...]

Are Michael Bay and 3D the new PB&J? A promotional PDF released by Dolby for this year’s ShoWest lists Transformers 2 under 2009’s 3D features alongside well known 3D flicks like AVATAR and Tintin. Bay hasn’t updated his blog to confirm or deny the announcement. Given the fact that the man eats Epic brand cereal morning, noon and night, and has the sizable task of topping his prior $319 million grossing robot deathmatch, who else thinks it’s a no-brainer?
The sequel starts principle photography on June 2nd in Pennsylvania, but obviously the looming SAG strike, which Bay recently ripped, could temporarily forfeit the mass destruction. Not sure if the ladies were [...]

“Must escape.”
Last month, we posted about an alleged, albeit totes sketchy, early first review of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull which called it “the best of the Indy sequels.” Well, the film recently screened and reviews are beginning to trickle in. Umm, they are not positive at all. Update: a new one is positive, summarized here at the end. AICN received three today, one heavy on the “it sucks” and spoilers, the other basically saying, “Yeah, that first guy who said the movie sucks? I see where he’s coming from.” The latest says it’s a worthy addition and brings a smile. Here are some [...]

Worth a laugh. A new crop of grainy images have surfaced at IESB for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Their origin is unknown at this time. We’ve included the best one above. Memorable movie scenes where a guy punches out a lady on screen are few and far, with Christoper McQuarrie’s The Way of the Gun easily in the top 3. Here we have Shia LaBeouf’s Mutt Williams readying a tiny fist for Cate Blanchett’s villainess Russian agent Irina Spalko while gunning it through the jungle. So, now you know.
Discuss: What do you think Shia’s character says right before he socks her? [...]

“It’s a rush, mon.”
Shia LaBeouf starring in Adderall: The Movie? That’s certainly what it sounds like. Variety reports that the Transformers actor has signed on for the lead in an adaptation of author Alan Glynn’s 2002 topical druggy thriller Dark Fields. Neil Burger (The Illusionist, Re: Not Neil Hamburger), will direct for Universal. The book is about a lowly copy editor and former cocaine user (yet another Bright Lights, Big City for the Oughts!) who is introduced to a new (fictional) drug called MDT-48, a “smart pill” that allows him to quickly ascend the ranks of success in New York City, from modern day member of the “creative lower class” [...]
