USA Today released a new batch of photos from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Warner Bros has sent us high resolution versions of the photos, which you can check out below. As always, click to enlarge.

The article also hints that the upcoming films might stray a little from the books. The idea presented is that the book series is already complete, and everyone (even many of those who didn’t read the final book) already knows how everything ends. So the films will take on different focuses than you might be expecting. I’s guessing that it won’t be anything too drastically different, but it sure will be interesting.

J.K. Rowling has penned a brand new story featuring the characters in her fantasy best-selling Harry Potter book series. According to the Sunday Mirror, the story is being adapted into a mini-movie which will be shown at Universal Studio’s The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida. The report says that all of the regular cast, including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, are said to be involved. They will shoot the mini movie, and additional sequences and clips which will be included in the rides in Leavesden, Hertfordshire UK.

The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter is expected to open next year or early 2010 at Universal Studios Islands [...]

The photo which comes from the new issue of Nick Magazine, shows Harry (Dan Radcliffe), Hermione (Emma Watson), and Ron (Rupert Grint) sitting in the Gryffindor Common Room. Two new photos from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix have appeared on HPANA.. The first image, seen above, shows the Weasley family, Ginny (Bonnie Wright), Ron (Rupert Grint), Fred (James Phelps) and George (Oliver Phelps), in what appears to be Dumbledore’s office. The second photo, seen below, shows Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton), Neville Longbottom (Matthew Lewis), Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) and Vincent Crabbe (Jamie Waylett) in Professor Umbridge’s office. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix hits theaters on July 13th 2007.

We have just been notified that Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series has finally signed on the dotted line for the last two films. Last week it was reported that the young star turned down a $2 million per movie deal. Looks like Warner must have upped their offer. I’m glad to see Emma will be back, as I can’t imagine anyone else playing Hermione Granger.
