Ever since the award buzz kicked in, everyone seems to be talking about a sequel to The Departed. Some even say a trilogy is in the works. Considering the heavy body count, any follow-up should be a tough task.  But don’t worry, screenwriter William Monahan has a plan.

Yesterday we reported that movie critic Roger Ebert was spreading a rumor that Little Miss Sunshine would cause a major upset at the 2007 Academy Awards. Well it looks like Vegas visited the same rumor mill.

Clint Eastwood believes that Martin Scorsese will finally claim the Academy Award he so rightfuly deserves, and beat him to the Best Director prize.

Last week we told you that Warner Bros was hard at work on an sequel for The Departed. Well now it appears it may become a trilogy.
