The second 24 Live Another Day trailer is double the length of the last one, and in the case of 24 you know that “every second counts.” The hit Fox show returns this summer with a 12 hour miniseries event which takes place four years after the regular series ended. Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) has been off the grid but mysteriously resurfaces in London at the time the President of the United States lands for a visit. Does Jack, the fugitive, want to kill the President, or stop other people from doing so?

The first teaser for 24: Live Another Day debuted during the Super Bowl, but since we’ve yet to receive a full-length trailer we’re still mostly in the dark as to what the show will actually look like. Happily, we have a slightly better idea today since Fox has revealed a big batch of stills.
The new 24: Live Another Day images feature returning characters Jack (Kiefer Sutherland) and Chloe (Mary Lynn Rajskub), along with lots of fresh faces played by Yvonne Strahovski, Benjamin Bratt, Tate Donovan, and more. See them all after the jump.

Cool Posts From Around the Web:
Judy Davis is a superb actress, and for quite a few years we didn’t see her in new roles very often. She’s been more busy of late, and now she’s got what could be her highest-profile gig in a while, and one which could lead to a lot more work. Davis will play Margo, variously described as an “arms dealer” and “a British national and the widow of a notorious terrorist,” in the 24 sequel mini-series Live Another Day.
The show is set to air in the spring on Fox, with Kiefer Sutherland, Kim Raver, William Devane and Mary Lynn Rajskub all reprising their original roles. The new limited series will, like original seasons of 24, play out in real time.
The show takes place four years after the end of the original series. producer Evan Katz recently explained “We wanted the show’s return to be an event, and part of that was putting Jack in a very different context. Four years ago, we left Jack a fugitive from justice and we’re going to pick him up four years later in London.” [Variety]
One of the main challenges producers faced in bringing back the hit show 24 and its hero Jack Bauer was making the return an event worthy of the original show. Since Bauer, played by Kiefer Sutherland, has saved the country and world numerous times, 24: Live Another Day has to do something special.
Turns out the first part of that escalation will be a wholly new setting. When the show comes back in May 2014 for a 12-episode run, Jack Bauer will be in London and four years will have passed since his last adventure with Counter Terrorism Unit. Read More »

Mary Lynn Rajskub‘s Chloe O’Brian wasn’t even introduced until the third season of 24, but she quickly established herself as a fan favorite and an integral part of the thriller series. The numbers bear that out, too. She appeared in 125 episodes of the show, more than any character not named Jack Bauer.
Put simply, it just isn’t 24 without Chloe — which is why fans should be thrilled to learn that she is, in fact, coming back for the limited sequel series 24: Live Another Day. More on Rajskub’s casting after the jump.
