The title reminds me of “Ocean’s Thirteen” but only as a
count down…13 (first movie)…12 (sequel)…11 (prequel/trilogy).

I’m agreeing with September 11th. Ray Liotta. A cop. Again? In the original, we were able to feel for the characters because of who they were. In this, whenever someone gets killed off, we’ll be focusing more on the actor who plays him. Ex: In the original – “Oh man, I can’t believe the fat guy died.” In this – “Damn, I can’t believe they killed off Jason Statham.” Plus, they’re probably not going to shoot it in black in white which really added to the film in my opinion. I’m interested in seeing how this’ll be done, but just not expecting great things.

Fiddy aside I think the cast is balls out badass.
Winstone is the man!
I dig the idea that the original director is remaking.

im not a big fan of the cast. i also think the first 30 minutes is fine, the whole point is building up a level of curiosity and then hitting you with this completely fucked situation you cant back out of. you stupid americans would hire jason statam and 50 cent and ray liotta and cut the first 30 minutes. this remake will be dumb as shit. the first one worked because it was simple and gritty and felt real. its not going to translate well to a hollywood production, especially with a cast like this.

Winstone, Rourke, Statham, and Liotta are all bad asses, so this sounds pretty cool, as long as the story is good and they don’t add too many rappers to the bill.

I am more interested in it now, thats a pretty nice cast. Also as much as I dislike all these remakes coming out, I think this might benefit the original and bring it to more peoples attention and have them seek it out as well.
