'Prometheus' Set Photos Reveal Two Futuristic Vehicles

If you've been following Prometheus news closely on /Film, you may recall that earlier this summer, we showed you a not-at-all-revealing set photo of a green screen blocking public view of "a bunch of vehicles" behind the walls. Well, if that image piqued your curiosity, keep reading — we now have shots of some of the stuff that was hidden behind that wall.

Details on the project continue to stay under tight wraps, so it's exciting to get a real glimpse of something we'll actually see in the film, even if it doesn't tell us all that much. We've yet to see an official trailer or a whole lot of images, but Russ caught some footage at Comic-Con. He reported that he thinks "people will be fairly happy with the look of the film," which is "very specifically Alien" — click here to read his detailed description of the Comic-Con footage.

Here's the impressively vague official synopsis of the film:

Visionary filmmaker Ridley Scott returns to the genre he helped define, creating an original science fiction epic set in the most dangerous corners of the universe. The film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life's ultimate mystery.

Directed by Ridley Scott, Prometheus will open in 3D June 8, 2012. Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Rafe Spall, Logan Marshall-Green, Guy Pearce, and Patrick Wilson star.
