Toss in the 40 million deaths and 100 million HIV infections current
in America and the world at large (---again, largely from buying into
the sex-consumer 'lifestyle' anabled by Hollywood and media )

Jackson is an indy version of Spielberg; He uses those high dollar shots cleverly, and then paints them with a respectable pace, and then somehow, out comes a slow-moving, but poignant masterpiece. Loved "Return of the King", "Fellowship", and "King Kong". The "Towers" just didn't get enough subject matter being the middle child. Fav Movies of all time: "American Beauty", "The Return of the King", practically the same movie one is introverted and the other extroverted volumes. Love you Jackson. Holla.

If Peter Jackson uses his perception on symbolism like in "The Lord of the Rings", and the artistic direction of LOTR and King Kong, "The Lovely Bones", with that and the mature material, should be a sweeper at the Oscars, and will be bery misunderstood.

I happen to know someone who knows Fan and their kids, who recently spoke to Fran and she said they’d finished filming and things were a bit more relaxed now; that was at least a month ago. So perhaps there’s some post production shenanigans going on, but filming is over.

whoa, whats with all the PJ bashing?! i, not use to that at all! oh well, hey i just read an article/interview confirming that ian mckellen is reprising his gandolf role!!

as for this film, i think it’ll be really good, but designing heaven is a difficult task – i can understand why there would be some disagreement, because i’m not sure if the books paints a specific enough picture.

I just listened to it on “books on tape”. Heaven should have been easy for them – it’s what that particular person would want it to be so the actual “heaven” doesn’t exist in the book. The girl is in a place that she would consider heaven. Susan Sarandon should read the book – Grandma Lynn is comic relief.
