Just because something is fun to watch doesn’t mean it was fun to make, as gossip rags are all too happy to tell you. But there’s something about NBC’s Parks and Recreation that makes us think this cast might actually be as delightful on set as they are on screen. Now, the Parks and Recreation Season 6 gag reel confirms those suspicions.
In the ten-minute video, Amy Poehler, Adam Scott, Chris Pratt, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza and more take turns messing up, teasing each other, and just generally look like they’re having a good time. Plus, you get to see Ann and Chris again, and even Lil’ Sebastian stops by for an appearance. Watch the Parks and Recreation Season 6 gag reel after the jump.
NBC posted the Parks and Recreation Season 6 gag reel on YouTube.
Parks and Recreation is a comedy to begin with, so it’s not as jarring to see Offerman bust a move in his office as it is to see, say, Laurence Fishburne doing the same during an investigation on Hannibal. Still, it’s a treat to watch Poehler and Scott engage in some Iron Throne-centric flirting, or Guardian of the Galaxy Chris Pratt speak with a straight face about the 17 months he spent in his mother’s womb.
My favorite part, though, has to be Jim O’Heir‘s Jerry (or Gary or Larry or Terry) moment at around the 8:30 mark. I’ve heard that O’Heir isn’t actually that much like his buffoonish character, but he could’ve fooled me in that moment.
Anyway, enjoy the Parks and Recreation gang while you can. The show has just begun production on its 13-episode seventh season, which will be its last. They’ll air on NBC beginning in midseason, meaning early 2015 or so. And sure, the series may not be as fresh as it once was, but stuff like this reminds us why we’re going to miss it terribly when it’s gone.
