Official Inception Website Launched

Warner Bros has launched the official website for Christopher Nolan's Inception, to go along with the teaser trailer, which is attached to some prints of Inglourious Basterds. As we've told you before, we don't expect the trailer to be available online until next week. The website is nothing more than an interactive spinning top, which mimics one of the shots from the teaser trailer. If you had read our post featuring the description of the 58-second teaser, you would already know that.

Here is what we knew about the project: Leonardo DiCaprio plays Jacob, the lead, a CEO-type, Marion Cotillard (La Vie en rose, Public Enemies) is his wife, Ellen Page (Juno) plays a young college grad student named Ariadne,  who is also DiCaprio's sidekick, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays Arthur, an associate working for DiCaprio. Ken Watanabe will play the film's villain, a man named Saito, who is blackmailing Leonardo DiCaprio's character. Tom Hardy (Bronson) plays Eames, a member of DiCaprio's team. Cillian Murphy (Batman Begins, Sunshine) plays Fischer and Michael Caine is also involved.

The rumored plot description follows: "Inception is about entering peoples' minds/dreams. A technology to do so has been developed and is done through an injection. DiCaprio and his team work to enter the minds of other characters in order to retrieve/plant information."

Inception is scheduled to hit theaters on July 16th 2010.
