New 'RoboCop' Images Announce New Trailer In Three Days

Things have gone pretty quiet around the reboot of RoboCop since the premiere of the first trailer a couple months ago. That might be a smart move; rather than inundating people with info and images, the marketing campaign has been low-key, feeding the interest and curiosity people have for the film. That trailer was among the most-viewed we've posted in the latter half of this year.

Now, however, there's a new trailer on the way, and before that debut later this week we've got a bunch of new images. You can check them out below.

These pics come from the film's official Facebook page. You'll see a couple of the "Leaders of Omnicorp," including Dr. Dennett Norton, expert in bio-mechatronics (Gary Oldman, looking in one pic quite like original RoboCop Peter Weller) and Liz Kline, Head of Legal Affairs, who "makes problems disappear, played by Jennifer Ehle. There's also Maddox (Jackie Earl Haley),  the company's top robot combat engineer, and Samuel L. Jackson as political and cultural commentator Pat Novak.

RoboCop was directed by Jose Padilha. It opens on February 12, 2014.

In RoboCop, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Overseas, their drones have been used by the military for years – and it's meant billions for OmniCorp's bottom line. Now OmniCorp wants to bring their controversial technology to the home front, and they see a golden opportunity to do it. When Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) – a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit – is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer. OmniCorp envisions a RoboCop in every city and even more billions for their shareholders, but they never counted on one thing: there is still a man inside the machine pursuing justice.
