My favorite Si-Fi move of all time and they are going to bastardize it with a “Green” plot. “Lower that thermostat or face destruction by my robot.” Maybe they can get Al Gore to play the stiff, mechanical part of Gort the robot. That would save them money on makeup and special effects. They could also get Jessica Simpson to play Patricia’s Neal’s part with lines like “Gort I know I was suppose to say something but I just can’t remember.” “Do you like my boobs?” Hollywood needs to get some writers that have some new ideas. Remaking old movies is getting tiresome and I have never seen a remake that I liked as well as the original. Did you see the disaster remake of the Andromeda Strain? My God is nothing sacred?
