VOTD: Watch A Make-Up Artist Transform Into 'Young Frankenstein', 'Rambo' & More Without Prosthetics

The work of make-up artists doesn't always get the recognition it should. While some make-up jobs are more obvious when you have tons of prosthetic and face paint work in movies such as X-Men: Apocalypse or Men in Black, others require the creation of more traditional effects such as The Revenant or The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Now one make-up artist shows how she can transform herself into a myriad of characters, celebrities and more, and she does it all without the use of prosthetics. In the video below, see make-up artist Lucia Pittalis transform into the likes of Gene Wilder as Dr. Frankenstein in Young Frankenstein, Al Pacino as Scarface, Sylvester Stallone as John Rambo, John Belushi as Joliet Jake from The Blues Brothers and more.

Here's the movie make-up transformations of Lucia Pittalis (via Geek Tyrant):

This make-up work is truly incredible. While Pittalis looks nothing like any of these celebrities or characters before the make-up, if anyone took a quick glance at her after the transformation, they would have to do a double-take because of how perfect the work is, almost resembling a two dimensional painting of each subject.

However, it seems that  some of these make-up jobs in person may only work so well from a certain perspective. That doesn't make them any less impressive, but it does pose a challenge if you're looking to do make-up like this yourself for a cosplay effort. But this is the kind of work that not just anyone can do, so you might have to practice for awhile to get it right.
