Mickey Rourke's Indie Spirit Awards Speech

Everyone was talking about Mickey Rourke's acceptance speech at the 2009 Independent Spirit Awards. And why wouldn't they? It seems like every time he opens his mouth he becomes the show. At the beginning of the speech Rourke makes a plea for Hollywood to give Eric Roberts another chance. Apparently Mickey never saw the biggest grossing picture of last year, The Dark Knight or his run last year on Heroes.

Rourke challenges "a little blond dude" who parodied his character earlier in the night, and explains what he meant at the Golden Globes when he said that director Darren Aronofsky is "one tough son of a bitch". He goes on to thank a bunch of Fox Searchlight employees, who he is unable to remember their name, and even calls one of them "the little one who I call gap-tooth". He even talks about the scene where he is "banging a girl in the ass in the bathroom". Check out the video after the jump.

I can't wait to hear what he'll say tonight if he actually wins the Oscar. And if it does happen, they better not "play him off" the stage.
