Watch: Hilarious 'Thor: Ragnarok' Mockumentary Shows What Thor Did During Civil War

If you weren't at San Diego Comic Con 2016 this summer, today is your lucky day.

Marvel Studios really brought the house down with their panel in Hall H at the pop culture convention back in July, but many fans were disappointed that they didn't release any of the footage shown that day online with the exception of a new Doctor Strange trailer which debuted simultaneously online. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok showed none of what played in Hall H that day to fans. But that changes today.

One of the best parts of the Marvel Studios panel this year was a mockumentary made by Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi which showed what the God of Thunder (Chris Hemsworth) was up to while the rest of The Avengers were embroiled in their own conflict in Captain America: Civil War. Now the hilarious Thor mockumentary is officially online for you to watch in its entirety.

So what was Thor doing while The Avengers were fighting? Well, he was merely living down in Australia with a guy named Daryl Jacobsen in a small apartment. And as it turns out, Neither Tony Stark nor Steve Rogers tried to contact Thor to see if he wanted to join their team, even after he wrote each of them a couple of e-mails and talked to Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) about the matter.

My favorite part is seeing Thor make an appearance in an elementary school class, testing them on their knowledge of The Avengers and calling Vision a "purple weirdo." A close second is the elaborate chart that Thor has in his bedroom (where he has a tiny bed for Mjolnir) showing that he's trying to figure out as much as he can about Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet.

This is the mockumentary we recapped on our coverage of the Thor: Ragnarok presentation from the Marvel Studios panel, but sadly it doesn't include the quick sizzle reel which showed behind the scenes footage and concept art from Thor: Ragnarok (find out more about that in our panel recap), but it's still brilliant. This makes me want to see a series of funny documentaries like this following Earth's mightiest heroes when they're not saving the planet. It would be a great replacement for the now absent Marvel One Shots.

Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters next year on November 3, 2017.
