'Lockout' Gets A New Trailer, And Possibly A New Title, 'MS One: Maximum Security'

Luc Besson produced his own remake of Escape From New York without even telling us!

The film Lockout, (also Lock-Out, and now MS One: Maximum Security, at least in France) has been called 'Taken in space' because it is from Luc Besson's company and has Maggie Grace once again playing a daughter in peril. This time she's the daughter of the US President, and she's stuck on a maximum-security prison satellite after all the prisoners are freed. Guy Pearce is the guy recruited to save her, and he's certainly doing a pretty damn good riff on Snake Plissken.

Check out a new French trailer below.

The first trailer, which was mostly Guy Pearce getting punched in the face quite a few times, looked like fun. This trailer makes the movie look like all-out silliness. But because Pearce is in full-on smartass action mode, like he is channeling the spirit of Bruce Willis from the original Die Hard, I'm all for it. Credit James Mather and Stephen St. Leger, who directed and shot the film, and co-wrote with Besson.

A man wrongly convicted of conspiracy to commit espionage against the U.S. is offered his freedom if he can rescue the president's daughter from an outer space prison taken over by violent inmates.

Lockout, or MS One, or whatever this will ultimately be called, opens on April 20th, 2012.
