Lego is never a company that makes big announcements. With little fanfare this past weekend, they released their 30th anniversary Ghostbusters set. Created under the Lego Ideas banner, this 508-piece set (suitable for ages 10 and up) is comprised of the Ecto-1 and the four main Ghostbusters: Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler and Winston Zeddemore.

Below, find out how you can buy the Lego Ghostbusters Ecto-1 and see a bunch of photos of the set complete built. Also, see official images of the Guardians of the Galaxy Lego sets, which are also now out.

To purchase the Lego Ghostbusters Ecto-1, head over to Amazon. It's also available in most physical Lego stores. And if you can't get it, don't worry. It's not any more or less limited than other Lego sets. It'll be out in bulk for at least a year or so, then go away.

I lined up at the Lego Store in Glendale, CA Sunday morning to be one of the first to purchase the set and recently completed it. You can see some photos below. It's really an awesome set, detailed in every way, functional and really pretty. Eight inches long, three inches wide with a detachable roof.

One question fans might have is can the Ghostbusters ride around in the Ecto-1? The answer is...kind of. All four fit in there, but they have to sit single file with one laying down in the back. And there's no room for the super cool proton packs. That's why Lego included the cool little stand so you can have a nice little display if you so desire.

Lego also recently released the Guardians of the Galaxy Lego sets, which you can buy at the same places. Here are a few official images:
