Remember a few weeks ago when Kevin Smith saw The Dark Knight with Slashfilm editor Peter Sciretta? As much of a geekgasm as that was, there was only so much that us normal geeks could relate, seeing as how most of us had not seen The Dark Knight, nor have we ever had the opportunity to speak with Kevin Smith. However, these factors can soon be mitigated substantially, as The Dark Knight will soon be in a theater near you. Also, Kevin Smith has agreed to review The Dark Knight with us for the next episode of the /Filmcast! Yes, the writer/director of Clerks, Chasing Amy, Dogma, and the star of An Evening with Kevin Smith will descend from his Hollywood throne to chat via telephone with those of us at the /Filmcast, LIVE. In the immortal words of Martin Lawrence from Bad Boys 2, “Shit just got real.”

Smith will primarily be joining us to help us review The Dark Knight and will (hopefully?) talk with us about his hilarious upcoming film, Zack and Miri Make a Porno. However, if there’s time, he may take some listener questions. If you have questions for Smith, feel free e-mail them to us at slashfilmcast@gmail.com. We will take the best ones and read them to him on the air, time permitting.

So, how will you get to hear Kevin Smith discuss The Dark Knight with us, you might be asking yourself? The first thing you can do is tune in live on Monday night at 10 PM EST / 7 PM PST to Slashfilm’s live page where you can participate in the chat while the episode is being broadcast (make sure to register a username first! Usernames are required to participate in the chat). If for some reason, you won’t be able to make it for the live broadcast or you are afraid it’ll slip your mind, feel free to subscribe to the /Filmcast podcast now with iTunes or with a podcast catcher using the following links. When the final podcast episode is released, you’ll be able to download it from the feed:

In the meantime, bookmark the link to Slashfilm’s live page and we’ll see you guys on Monday night!
