Judd Apatow’s ‘Trainwreck’ Opens Summer 2015

Judd Apatow

Batman, Superman, the Avengers, the Terminator, T-Rex…and Judd Apatow? Yup, the popular writer-director has just joined the crowded summer of 2015 with his latest comedy, Trainwreck, starring Amy Schumer. It’ll open July 24, 2015.

Back in November, we told you about the film and predicted a 2015 release date. The summer one is pretty aggressive, though, as it’ll be one week after Batman vs. Superman and one week before Ant-Man. Still, an Apatow comedy at that time should serve as welcome counter-programming from the weekly onslaught of franchise blockbusters. Plus, it actually is the only film on that weekend as of right now.

Trainwreck, written by Schumer and developed by Apatow, will star the actress as a crazy woman who tries to rebuild her life.

Do you think Trainwreck will play well in this crowded summer?
