The first Terminator: Genisys trailer was all about introducing us to the film’s new take on the familiar Terminator story. The Super Bowl spot teased a new threat. Now there’s a new one-minute spot for Genisys, and it smartly puts some focus on the member of the cast who just won an Oscar for his work in Whiplash: J.K. Simmons. And because Simmons seems to play his role with a harried, comic bent as he tries to figure out what the hell is going on with these killer robots, he’s a great audience identification character. Check out the footage below.
We’ve had a lot of Terminator: Genisys set visit coverage this week, including a feature with many details about the production, and interviews with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Alan Taylor, and Emilia Clarke and Jai Courtney. So check those out after watching this trailer.
