Jackass 2.5 Reader Feeback

Paramount's quasi-sequel Jackass 2.5 is now available for free on blockbuster.jackassworld.com. You need to install a crappy Microsoft plugin to play the thing. I'm on a Mac, and my experience was horrible. The audio quickly became out of sync, and the video player does not allow you to rewind or fast forward, which is key when watching this type of movie. I looked away for one second and missed something huge.

Technical complains aside, I was completely unimpressed by this new release. It's basically a compilation of horrible segments which were too uninteresting to include in the theatrical release. There are 2 or 3 gems in the mix, but watching the rest of the movie is akin to watching a batch of bad deleted scenes. And don't get me wrong, I'm not here to bash Jackass. The first two movies were a lot of fun, and contained some in-genius stunts and pranks. Most of the content contained in 2.5 seems like it was poorly planned, or just a bad idea all together. And the rest are slivers from good ideas which, for one reason or another, didn't deliver as they should have. For example, the sequence in the beginning with King Kong and the airplanes was a great idea (probably the best in this new release), but the climax was very weak.

I'm sure some of you guys are checking this new film out (heck, it's free – so why not?), and I'm interested to hear what you think. Post your thoughts!
