Could Greg Grunberg Return To Lost?

Greg Grunberg, who is probably best known for his role as Matt Parkman on Heroes, is the childhood best friend of JJ Abrams, and has been featured in almost every project he's ever directed — be it a cameo or something larger. Grunberg's cameo in the pilot episode of Lost is pretty unforgettable. I won't give it away for those who still haven't picked up the DVDs, but its safe to say that his character hasn't appeared on the show for a while now. Could Grunberg return in the sixth and final season? Anything is possible. Details and possible spoilerish speculation after the jump.

In a recent interview with TV Guide Magazine, Grunberg reveals that he received a call asking if he would be interested in returning at some point in the final season. "That's literally where my call ended," Grunberg says, before admitting that "If NBC will allow it, I will go back."

How could Oceanic flight 815 Pilot Seth Norris return? Well there are always flashbacks. However, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse made a point of saying at Comic-Con that the flash back, flash forward, and time travel seasons are over, and that the sixth and final season will have a whole new deal.

I, like many others, have previously speculated that the sixth season will be the alternative reality season. If the bomb went off and prevented Oceanic 815 from crashing on the island, this would create an alternative timeline/universe. And in that universe Seth Norris' future is not clear. And at the very least he could be used in a scene recreating the original Oceanic 815 flight, minus that pesky plane crash.
