Just a few hours before kickoff, director Jon Favreau has gone ahead and posted the Super Bowl commercial for Cowboys and Aliens which will air at the end of the first quarter. The film, directed by Favreau, stars Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford and Olivia Wilde and will be released July 29. Check out the commercial, which features a ton of new footage, after the jump. Not only are people who are watching the Packers play the Steelers in Super Bowl XLV on Sunday going to see a (hopefully) great game, they’re going to see Nicolas Cage return from hell for 3D revenge. Summit purchased a coveted spot for the upcoming action film Drive Angry 3D and one of the quotes used in the trailer just happens to be from our fair leader, Peter Sciretta, who calls the film “Insanely fun.” What I think it “insanely fun” is having your name on the TV during the Super Bowl.

Paramount must really think they have something special on their hands with Rango, Gore Verbinski‘s first animated film featuring the voices of Johnny Depp, Isla Fisher, Abigail Breslin, Bill Nighy, Stephen Root, Ray Winstone, Beth Grant, Ned Beatty, Harry Dean Stanton and Alfred Molina. The film, about a chameleon who fancies himself a hero in a wild-west town that is not hero friendly, is about to get hundreds of millions of impressions when it runs a commercial during the Super Bowl on Sunday. Walt Disney Pictures have released a 10 second sneak peek of the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Super Bowl TV Spot. The full thirty second commercial will air during the big game this Sunday. But catch 10 seconds now embedded after the jump.

DreamWorks Animation has premiered the Super Bowl television spot for Kung Fu Panda 2, or Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom as it is officially titled.
