Trailers and TV spots for Godzilla have been doling out information about the film in small chunks over time. That especially goes for the monster, which has been seen in the distance, through fire and smoke, and in fractured form. But Warner Bros. and Legendary aren’t being shy with the creature; there are quite a few full images out there — we just haven’t seen much in motion so far. This new TV spot gives up some new footage, including a great shot of Godzilla as he roars the “bending girder” sound that is so familiar. Check out the spot below. Read More »

Transformers: Age of Extinction star Mark Wahlberg won the “Generation Award” at Sunday’s 2014 MTV Movie Awards, and Paramount wisely used the occasion to push his latest film. Wahlberg is the star of Michael Bay‘s latest adventure about “robots in disguise,” and three new images and a TV spot have been revealed, all centering on the Oscar-nominee. Check out the new Mark Wahlberg Transformers 4 photos and TV spot below. Read More »
There’s a tiny bit of new Turtle fight action in this TV spot, but the part of this new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles footage that you’ll probably want to see is the first real look at the rat Splinter. You don’t get a great look at the guy, but there’s enough of a view to know that it couldn’t possibly be anyone else. The Turtles are still ugly, though, as as in the trailer. “New ugly,” I mean; the guys were never pretty, but at least they had an established look. Enough about that, however. Check out the spot below for the shot of Splinter. Read More »
Up until now, the X-Men: Days of Future Past version of Quicksilver has been relegated to still images. Even without knowing how he’d look in motion, fans have had plenty to say about the punk metallic look of the character. Now, his movements have been revealed thanks to commercial for fast food burger chain Carl’s Jr. It shows Quicksilver in action, which seems like very odd place to reveal the movement of a character whose design has generated such polarized responses. Check out the Quicksilver Carls Jr commercial below. Read More »
Godzilla (the monster, and possibly the film) is gigantic, but at this point Legendary and Warner Bros. are all about revealing new glimpses of the film in the smallest ways. A pair of trailers, teaser and full-length, have been very shy about showing off the monster and how he stomps around the world, preferring instead to illustrate the aftereffects of said stomping. A growing collection of TV spots is following suit, showing new footage in bite-size chunks. Today we have three new Godzilla spots,
A long “extended look” is promised for Saturday April 5, at 4pm EST / 1pm PST, so we’ll have that for you soon. Read More »
Gareth Edwards and Legendary are getting ready to serve up some serious monster attacks in Godzilla. Two new Godzilla TV spots preview even more of the devastation that takes place when Godzilla (and probably another monster or two) make landfall. The great thing about these spots is that they continue the run of marketing Godzilla like a horror movie rather than a big action movie or sci-fi tentpole. That seems like the perfect way to get across a new vision of giant monsters, and really holds my interest in the film, rather than dissipating it by showing too much. Read More »

The mutants are stopping by your TV on their way to the theater. Fox has released the first X-Men: Days of Future Past TV spot, with all the action, excitement, and grave-yet-vague voiceover narration you can cram into 30 seconds.
The Bryan Singer-directed sequel weaves together the First Class and original trilogy casts, as the older versions of the X-Men find themselves in danger. In an effort to save themselves, they send one of their own back in time to join forces with the younger X-Men and alter the future. Watch the video after the jump.

Cool Posts From Around the Web:
The first Dawn of the Planet of the Apes trailer was promising because it was all ominous tension as we started to see how humans feel cornered after a viral outbreak leaves evolved apes competing with humans for control of, well, everything. Now a Dawn of the Planet of the Apes TV spot shows off more of those evolved apes. While half of this spot is dedicated to the same shot we’ve already seen, of Caesar ready for war, there are a few new shots here of other simian characters. Read More »
