
Did you hear that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is filming in New York this week? Of course you did. Every site on the Internet has a big gallery of photos showing the same few scenes from different angles and claiming them as exclusives. The film hasn’t even been shooting for three weeks, doesn’t come out for over a year and I’m already on overload.
Granted, there is still some cool news being revealed about Marc Webb‘s superhero sequel, and some of the photos have featured bigger revealations. This post, however, attempts to cherry pick the best set photos published in the past 24 hour or so. When famous redhead Emma Stone showed up on the set of The Amazing Spider-Man as a blonde, the world took notice. The change, of course, was because she was playing Gwen Stacy, a blonde haired love interest of Peter Parker. Fast forward a little over two years and the web-slinger’s latest, and future, love interest can be revealed: Mary Jane Watson.
She’s played by Shailene Woodley, a natural brunette who has gone red to play the character famously played by Kirsten Dunst in the Sam Raimi trilogy. Woodley was recently photographed arriving on set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Check the images out below. Read More »

Several blurry, but undeniably cool set photos from the New York-based shoot of Marc Webb‘s mega sequel have hit the web. In the images you’ll see that suit in action, both on star Andrew Garfield and what’s likely a stuntperson.

Two silver-screen boxing icons are currently filming a boxing comedy for Warner Bros. and your first view of them comes via a basketball player. Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone star in Grudge Match, director Peter Segal‘s comedy comedy about two over-the-hill boxers who return to the ring for one last match. Much as Marc Webb is currently doing, Robert Rodriguez has begun to tweet photos from the set of his comic book sequel.
Rodriguez’s movie, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, is well into production in Texas aiming at an October 4 release date. It stars Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Josh Brolin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Stacy Keach, Christopher Meloni, Dennis Haysbert, Ray Liotta, Juno Temple, Jeremy Piven and Jamie Chung, among others in an adaptation of the Frank Miller comic.
Rodriguez tweeted two photos, one of which you see above, showing Josh Brolin’s character in the film. What’s great about these photos is not only are they our first look at the film, but that the other one shows what the set looks like versus the nearly finished plate above. Read More »

As a writer and producer, Akiva Goldsman has enjoyed an enviable career working on projects like A Beautiful Mind, I, Robot, and I Am Legend. But this winter, he’s finding himself in some new territory as he shoots his feature directorial debut Winter’s Tale.
Based on the novel by Mark Helperin, the romantic fantasy follows a thief named Peter Lake (Colin Farrell) who breaks into a seemingly empty mansion in Victorian-era New York City. Once inside, he’s surprised to meet and fall for Beverly Penn (Downton Abbey‘s Jessica Brown Findlay), the dying young woman cloistered within. Russell Crowe also stars, as a criminal boss named Pearly Soames who has it in for Peter. A handful of photos from the set have hit the web, and you can check them out after the jump.
