Since Batman: The Killing Joke got plenty of people into theaters, Fathom Events is bringing the next animated movie from Warner Bros. and DC Comics to the big screen as well.

As we've seen previously, Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders is bringing classic 1966 Batman TV series stars Adam West and Burt Ward back as Batman and Robin for a new animated adventure that sees them facing off against all of their deadliest foes yet again. Fans will have a chance to catch the animated flick in theaters for one night only, just before it becomes available on Digital HD.

In addition to the movie playing on the big screen, a special featurette will be played which takes a look at the lasting pop-culture impact of the Batman franchise's villains, titled "Those Dastardly Desperados".

Fathom Events will have screenings of Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders on October 10th at 2pm, 7pm and 10pm local time. Tickets are already on sale, and you can get the entire list of participating theaters all around the country over here. We can likely expect this to happen every time there's a new animated film coming to the big screen at this point. It's just extra money in the pockets of the studio for a movie that will be on home video shortly.

It's back to the 1960s as Batman and Robin spring into action when Gotham City is threatened by a quartet of Batman's most fiendish foes – Penguin, The Joker, Riddler and Catwoman. Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders is directed by Rick Morales (LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes – Justice League: Cosmic Clash) with a script written by Michael Jelenic (Teen Titans Go!) and James Tucker (Justice League vs. Teen Titans). The animated features arrives on Digital HD on October 11 and Blu-ray and DVD on November 1.
