Exclusive: Tony Stark's Avengers Tower Debuts As Easter Egg In 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier'

(NOTE: That image above is not from Cap 2, it's from The Avengers.)

When Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits theaters April 4, be on the look out for Tony Stark's Avengers Tower. As a hidden Easter Egg.

At the end of The Avengers, the Stark Tower was decimated, leaving only the "A" as a tease of what's to come. There was also a brief scene where Stark is clearly seen working on an Avengers Tower. In Iron Man 3, Stark never visits New York as he's plenty busy in California, Tennessee and Florida but that doesn't mean the tower hasn't been under construction. Speaking to /Film, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige told us the completed tower makes a brief cameo in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Here's what Feige said, with the one semi-spoiler word cut out so fans who want to be surprised can find the tower themselves. Highlight below to reveal.

You get a quick glimpse, I don't know if you noticed, of the new Stark Tower – which is not the Stark Tower it's the new Avengers Tower in Captain America: The Winter Soldier]. We show it in there. It goes by *snaps* real fast during that [SPOILER] sequence. But it's there.

Spoiler word: Targeting

This revelation pretty much assures we'll see the tower as a location in Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron. Why else set it up in the first film and drop it in here as an Easter egg? The question becomes, how and when did Tony Stark have the time to work on it, especially considering he gives up the mantle of Iron Man at the end of Iron Man 3.

This is far from the only Marvel Cinematic Universe connection in Captain America: The Winter Soldier but, again, we'll hold back to avoid spoilers. But I will say the sequence the tower appears in has some more revelations. A new Phase Three link is made, plus the Russo Brothers told me there are some pause worthy books in the set decoration at Captain America's apartment.

You can see all of this for yourself on April 4 when Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits theaters.
