The theatrical poster for the big screen CGI-enhanced live-action adaptation of Underdog has hit the inter-web.

The poster, pictured left, features the tagline: "One Nation... Under Dog"

The original 1960's television cartoon Underdog followed the adventures of a humble no frills dog named Shoeshine Boy who became the superheroic Underdog. The movie will follow Wonderdog as he is adopted by a 12-year-old boy and uses his super powers to protect "his love, Polly Purebred, and the citizens of Capitol City from the evil Simon Bar Sinister."

The Computer generated Underdog will be voiced by My Name Is Earl and Mallrats star Jason Lee. Junebug breakout Amy Adams plays the female lead, 'Sweet' Polly Purebred. The film also stars James Belushi.

Underdog hits theaters on August 3rd 2007.
