Walt Disney Home Entertainment asks the film’s fans to dunk themselves
to mark the DVD release of the first Pirates sequel
WHAT: To mark the highly anticipated DVD release of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, Walt Disney Home Entertainment invites fans of the film to walk the plank to earn a copy of the two-disc Special Edition DVD. Fans, dressed as pirates, will walk the plank from a façade of Captain Jack Sparrow’s Black Pearl into a 10,000-gallon tank of cold water.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest will be available as both a deluxe two-disc special edition DVD set and as a single-disc DVD on December 5. The single-disc DVD features screenwriter audio commentary and the hilarious, never-before-seen “Bloopers of the Caribbean.” The special edition is jam-packed with bonus features including all single-disc features; a Captain Jack featurette; “Creating the Kraken”, a look into the film’s stunning sea beast; and a behind-the-scenes documentary among others.
