Snakes on a Plane
hits theaters nationwide later this week, but have you heard about Snakes on a Train?

The Asylum jumped at the opportunity to totally rip off the latest Samuel L Jackson cult movie sensation. Train will go direct to DVD today (August 15th) in hopes of suckering innocent consumers into believing the movie has some connection to the New Line film which hits theaters on Thursday.

The Asylum is actually famous for this practice. Their previous releases include: The Pirates of Treasure Island, Exorcism: The Possession of Gail Bowers, Bram Stoker's Dracula's Curse, The Da Vinci Treasure, King of the Lost World, Invasion, and 666: The Child.

You can watch the trailer in Quicktime or in Flash on YouTube.

Snakes on a Plane Plot Synopsis: "Under a powerful Mayan curse, snakes are hatched inside a young woman, slowly devouring her from within. Her only chance for survival is a powerful shaman who lives across the border. With only hours to live, she jumps on a train headed for Los Angeles. Unfortunately for the passengers aboard, they are now trapped, soon to be victims of these flesh-eating vipers."

The movie stars: Alby Castro, Julia "Ryanne" Ruiz, Giovanni Bejarano, and Al Galvez. The movie was written by Eric Forsberg (Alien Abduction, Fantastic Fantasy Factory) and directed by The Mallachi Brothers.
