Clerks II director Kevin Smith revealed shocking details about his next movie during a question and answer session at Wizard World Chicago 2006.

When a fan asked Smith what his next project would be, first Smith resisted saying that he wouldn't reveal any details. An audience member shouted "Rock, Paper, Scissors! Best Two out of Three!" and the crowd cheered. Smith accepted the challenge and took on a fan named Nick. Kevin won the first round, Nick won the second, but in the end Smith took the game.

Smith decided to let out some information about his next project anyway. The indie filmmaker revealed that his next project would be a horror film, it's something he's always wanted to try.

Kevin Smith made a cameo alongside Jason Mewes in Scream 3, which at one point he was rumored to helm. He also executive produced and had a small role in the 2000 film Vulgar, which has some horror elements. But realistically speaking, this would be the first time that Kevin Smith will step out of the realm of Dramedy.

Kevin has always expressed a love for the 1970's Spielberg horror film Jaws, and has also sang the praise of Kubrick's The Shining.
