Just yesterday, the entire SlashFilm crew participated in a collaborative list of the Top 10 Films of 2015 So Far. We all voted, and then crunched the numbers to figure out what the top movies were throughout all our lists. Films like While We’re Young, Inside Out and Ex Machina made the list, but several readers also had their own favorites.
So let’s see if this alternate list of The 10 Best Films Of 2015 (Thus Far) is any better received. I’m guessing that plenty will still disagree since this one includes some more obscure titles and foreign films that a lot of people haven’t seen yet. The list is presented in the form of a video essay, so watch below to find out what the best films of 2015 so far may be!
Here’s The 10 Best Films Of 2015 (Thus Far) from Cineflect:
In case you don’t want to watch the whole video, here’s the list:
- Inside Out
- Mad Max: Fury Road
- Ex Machina
- Love & Mercy
- Far from the Madding Crowd
- It Follows
- Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter
- Wild Tales
- White God
You’ll notice that our top three movies are exactly the same as Cineflect, so it seems like those are the clear frontrunners across various film tastes. They just have Inside Out at #1 whereas we had Mad Max: Fury Road sitting comfortably at the top of our list. Undoubtedly, you’ll still have your own ideas of the best movies, so feel free to sound off in the comments again.
But let’s not forget that this is all subjective, and it’s hard to compare some of these movies to each other. At the end of the day, the important thing is that you go out and see as many of these movies as possible for yourself and form your own opinion. It doesn’t matter if it’s not the same as ours, and that’s what makes cinema so great.
