A New Jurassic Park Sequel Coming In Comic Book Form

While Jurassic Park 4 might never hit the big screen (or at very least, it is a long ways off), another sequel to the Steven Spielberg-directed series is in the works — in the form of a comic book series.

IDW Comics and Universal Pictures have announced a new comic book series beginning in June 2010. The first five-issue arc is titled "Jurassic Park: Redemption", and follows Tim and Lex Murphy, John Hammond's grandchildren from the original film, set 13 years later.

It's been 13 years since little Tim and Lex Murphy escaped from the island of Isla Nublar, and recent public opinion has reversed, with the world clamoring for authorities to re-open Jurassic Park! While Tim and Lex try to preserve the Hammond family name, a secret deal is hatched to open a new park! This time they'll get it right... right?
