lost bottle
ABC held a sweepstakes which resulted in 815 winners receiving an exclusive message in a bottle, with a digital key containing the opening scene to the final season premiere of LOST, days before it premieres on television. Sl-lost has photos of one of the winner’s bottle, and spoilerfiles has the actual 4-minute scene online, which I have embedded after the jump.

Beware — this is the actual first four minutes of the season six premiere of LOST, Episode LA X. This is not a joke, not a rickroll. Do not watch it now if you don’t want to see it until the premiere!

You were warned…

second chance?

Don’t blame us…

Here is the opening 4:12 minutes of the Lost Season Six premiere: “LA X”

And here is what the note in the bottle said:

  • HOLY SHIT! WHAT WILL HAPPEN FROM NOW ON!
It will take a year until this season comes to Germany :(

Along the lines of possible mistakes made...did anyone else notice that starting at time :57 she has blood coming from the corner of her mouth and at 1:17 the blood is gone. Is this a mistake or was it done intentionally to show that perhaps there are two timelines/realities going on here. If it was a mistake, it was pretty sloppy.

By the way, thats not the entire opening scene. There's like 30 seconds more thats underwater and features a ... "structure", we've come to know and love. ;)
  • FERABADLEON
The bomb did NOT explode. It was hinted in a few spoilers in other Lost sites. There will another timeline with the losties in 1977 after "The Incident", this "new" timeline was not caused by the bomb. Wait and see. :)

I think they are all already dead and are trying to crossover to the other side. Think of the significance in the 4.12 second trailer where she tells jack it ok you can let go now

I think they are all already dead and trying to crossover to the other side think of the significance of the lady in the first episode of this season saying its ok you can let go now
  • shadow
It's not an alternate timeline, its and alternate reality.

Has anyone considered that Charlie isn't on the plane/is dead because of what happened on the island? Obviously they're not just going to land at LAX and all walk their separate ways. Something will be different.

And why is the episode called LA X and not LAX?
  • oh my gawd i want that bottle/usb drive right now.. i would gladly pay 50 for it
  • Soundwave_17
For myself I enjoyed all the little differences in the Oceanic Flight Scene. *Prediction on Tuesdays during the Olympics NBC will have lowest Olympic ratings ever.

How has no one noticed that Rose says.... "When my husband gets back??" Um hellooooo her husband was suppose to be in the back of the plane remember?
  • Beth
He was in the back of the plane because he was using the bathroom.

    It doesnt work! booo

    FREAKING COCKTEASE!

What if communism is just a red herring? Or to put it another way what are the odds, you think, that they released this only to have it all change at the 4 min 14 sec mark right on its head?
  • Kyle
I'm not convinced this is the real first 4 minutes--Lost never re-shows 2 minutes of the previous season ender as part of their opening. They always start you off wondering "Where (and when) am I?"
  • mike
Actually the contest rules stipulated the winners would receive a video containing part of the season 5 finale, and the first scene of LA X
  • bd_in_sd
    LOL.
  • BrucebyDay
    That made my day!!!!
  • wow. wow. if 4 mins can make me feel this way, i cant imagine how the entire season 6 will make me feel.
  • Peggy
Almost the first 2 minutes were from the finale of Season 5. Then it ends at 3:37, so there is only about 100 seconds from the first show. Of course they're going to let you think that the plane survived. I bet something else happens, maybe a different crash.
  • StarFox203
Yes, this was pretty much exactly what I expected to happen.
  • Matt G
If it had spoiled anything more than that I would have hated myself for watching it,, but they gave away just enough to give me the blue balls I have come to expect from Lost.
  • Beth
Whew, I just watched it and I don't hate myself. Technically, only 2 minutes were "new", and they pretty much went how I figured they would.

    Looking forward to Tuesday!
  • Larry
Well that settles it, no reset thank GOD. Damon and Carlton are the master deceivers. :D

And LOL @ people calling LOST overrated or that it 'sucks', hahahahaha. The single greatest example of quality, intriguing, rewarding storytelling and production values in TV history.. go watch 'Mad Men' and 'Damages' and all the other shitty shows. Dont forget to catch your Americal Idol results.
  • Max
im pretty sure it (the bomb) did reset, when it flashed and they were on the plane and it didnt crash... or did i miss something

and that clip didnt really excite me considering it was all pretty much stuff we have seen with some tweaks
  • Where are these quality, rewarding storylines? I haven't seen one since Season Three.

Secondly, calling shows like Mad Men and Damages "shitty" is not boding well for your membership in the "I know shit about good TV" Club.
  • iec
    um, what?
  • But... Didn't it reset? A little at least... GOD I WANT IT NOW.
  • Lost is not a film, you dumb mother fuckers. Plus it sucks so no coverage is needed.

    Dear Internet...
  • People always say that the internet is full of rudeness because of the anonymity. This proves something else is at work here.

This comment is so old. And so sad. Please bitch more about a post you have no interest in. Thanks.

chill the fuck out. you are in the minority. if you want to be a purist about something why don't you pick a worthy cause?
  • Michael
    Rage more?
  • Kensei
    Looks good.
  • JohnSheppardNotJack
Didn't even let him finish his drink this time. And no Charlie running in the aisle either. Guess its the little differences.
  • that means he is getting high, damn. poor charlie. his life will be hard to watch, because you can expect it to be a tragic ending for him.
  • sammyjankis
Wouldn't that mean he is NOT getting high, ie not running to the bathroom, means no drugs to run for. I think the differences are on purpose, she gave him 1 bottle in stead of 2, Rose comforted Jack about the turbulence instead of him for her the first time. This rocks !!!!!
  • Good point.
  • Guest
    GAH!
  • kaio
Well, at least they could have cut Matthew Fox's hair to make him look like he did in season 1...
  • Dysthymia83
The alternate time long caused a chain of events causing Jack to get a different haircut. =P
  • jon
yeah i was afraid they weren't gonna cut his hair, i guess it could be different, but they should've cut it
  • After agonizing for a solid twenty minutes I watched it... and I don't think I know anything more about what season six is going to be. Blah blah blah, rebooted timeline (maybe?) but how that factors into the Jacob/Ben/Fake John Locke and the island in general is still a total mystery. That cliff that I've been hanging off of for the last 260 days? Yeah, I'm still there and will be until Tuesday.
  • FERABADLEON

  • tobor68
as far as i can tell, jack and the bomb was jacob's backup plan against his nemesis taking over the island.

    until next tuesday.
  • you have to think though, the bomb did exploded, but remember that ben and them are still stuck at a ddifferent timeline, like two timelines at once. again.
  • rick
Call me when Mad Men is back on. LOST is so overrated.
  • Tetsuo_Man
Mad Men? BAH. I refuse to jump on that. Breaking Bad is AMC's best series anyways.

    Lost is great too.
